After Renovation

Before Renovation

A second floor renovation with a unique twist: This home belongs to empty nesters who once had 3 children and 4 bedrooms to accommodate the family. Now that the children are no longer living in the home, the clients wanted a comfortable living space with 2 larger rooms (1 for each of them) and a larger spa-like washroom with dual sinks.
We overcame challenges as the homeowners were living in the house while renovations were being conducted – We wanted to ensure the experience was as disruption-free as possible for them. Lumber and their new cast iron soaker tub were craned in through the second floor window, and we were able to utilize the equipment already installed in the home to supply the radiant heating and renovated the full second floor while keeping the main floor completely undisturbed.
There was also an existing wood burning fireplace which the client never used so they asked for it to be changed to natural gas for ease of use and cleanliness.
We also installed a stacked washer & dryer in what used to be a linen closet to alleviate the stresses of going up and down multiple flights of stairs to the basement laundry area, especially as the clients age into their senior years.
Our goal is to ensure each client is happy which often means listening to the unique needs and wishlists for each person. We were happy to help these empty nesters re-create their living space in a way that made the most sense for them!
